Determine if your server configuration allows for install on demand features

If you need to install ioncube using the php.ini method, then this script will determine which loader you need and instructions

Is there a preferred method of installation? I currently have it installed using the On Demand method. Is this alright, or should I install with the php.ini method?

Thanks,
Dacsoft

good question. I don't know which one is best in terms of the big picture. But you can not go wrong either way.

Installing it in php.ini is supposed to have better performance over a higher load level from reading ioncubes documentation .

This script is provided by ioncube so I would request some assistance from their support team. They are usually very fast so I hope you get this resolved soon.

I had my hosting provider upload the script and update the php.ini file with this:

zend_extension=/usr/local/Zend/etc/ioncube_loader_lin_4.3.so

Unforuntely I still get the "please upgrade" error when I access CE. Any ideas?

"The file /home/imminent/public_html/support/index.php has been encoded with the ionCube PHP Encoder and requires the free ioncube_loader_lin_4.3.so ionCube PHP Loader to be installed."

Not sure.. please send an email to nick@ioncube.com or support@ioncube.com as this is not a CE issue. They are fast, like us, to support.

I just wanted to let everyone know I received a quick response from Nick and a simple server restart fixed the problem.

CE offers an installation service for $25, would this include installation of IonCube? I can't get it to work :confused:

Just for the information, It dosent Include. It does include installation and setting up CE. Dosent include 3rd party software installation.

Cheers,

James!
