Did you cancel your account with them at least 2 days in advance like the Terms & Conditions you agreed to when signing up stipulate? If not then the charge was valid...

i never cancelled my account with newedge, i requested that they refund the money they took without authority, once they refunded the money Newedge cancelled my account with them, which left me client problems.

I'm confused - if you didn't cancel that would mean you had a balance due - which gives them full authority to charge you?

This confused me. I had a paypal set up to pay them each month, but without sending me any invoice or any notice they took funds from my card direct 2 weeks before my paypal payment was due, which left my bank account overdrawn and inccured bank charges of £35. i had the funds in my paypal account to pay the invoice once i received this at the correct time. I only asked for these funds to be refunded.

Newedge does not have the ability to take funds from your PayPal account. Only way they can take PayPal funds is if you send them, or a subscription you setup sent them. Newedge didn't do anything wrong - your concerns are with PayPal.

The funds were taken from my card direct and not through paypal. the only payment i made with my card direct was my initial payment after that all payments were made through Paypal, they had no authoritiy to take the payment from my card as all payments and invoices were set for paypal payments and they took the funds without even sending me any invoice or notice that they were or had taken payment.

There was a bug in CE that did not properly change the recurring transaction properly when customer updated their payment method from credit card to paypal. This bug has been fixed.

I was not told of any bug, all i know is that money was taken without any authority which meant my bank appling a £35 bank charge and because of this i have lost clients as their plans were given with a CE licence.

or better still email CE billing them for the £35 bank charge... faliure from them could lead to some pretty harsh copy and paste's onto places like WHT ... im sure they'd rather pay your £35 than lose credability ...
