Currently we are with 2checkout.com and we have about a 1/4 of our clients being processed there because we were unsure of there quality of service. Two weeks ago we applied over at Paystems and we are still waiting "approval". It seems to me that Paysystems service rate is no better than probably worse than 2checkout.com
Is the functionality of Paysystems really worth it? In the past week we have emailed them (underwriting department) 3 times and received NO RESPONSE. They know that we are coming to them from 2checkout you would think that they would be a little eager to aquire as many people/companies from competitors as possible, but this has not been their attitude with us.
What's everyones feedback as far as online payment processors and who they think is of higher quality and why?

Maybe the check or license you sent was bad or hard to see.

As far as their service goes they've been on and off with me. Sometimes it's been really strange too because the one time I've had trouble getting a hold of them I was supposed to pay them money for a chargeback. A significant amount too. I found it very odd that they were so hard to get a hold of when I was trying to pay them money. Other times they've been fine though.

In truth, their email support isn't the greatest, it's up and down. Although I have had them actually telephone me when I sent them an urgent email...that's rare anywhere.
But Paysystems toll-free phone support rocks...I always get a fast response. I say call them. They will sometimes tell you there's no phone support for a certain thing, just tell them you have sent several emails and you want some help.

I've only been with them for a few weeks but I've had good results. Tickets submitted via the web interface are answered the same day or at least in 24 hours. Email support has been great. My account activation was painless too. They approved me the same day I sent them my paperwork. I'm very pleased to be moving away from 2Checkout.
I changed from 2checkout to Paysystems.
My setup was fast. TO be active took me one day, taking itno consideration that I had to send a few things via Fax and Email. Their support is excellent (thats me). The have live chat for current merchants found inside our control panel. This live chat is a different from the one found on te page since this one is always active and available 24/7. I have used the live chat and they answer me in seconds. I am new with them, so I can't say no more.
2checkout is good. Setup was really faster.
I haven't had problems with them. BUT they have had a lot of downtimes. They are always fixing and upgrading to prevent downtimes. Support is not bad, ticket support will answer same day in few hours. They don't have a phone number or live chat. Although someone gave me their phone number.
Don't know which is best.
Tell me which is best for you!

The one thing that I can say that is pro-paysystems is that they are VERY reliable in their merchant payments. In the 2.5 years that I've been using them they have never once missed a payment. If a payment is going to be delayed for any reason (holiday, etc) they always post a notice about the issue.. and the longest delay I've ever seen was 2 days, shortly after Christmas (payment was scheduled for 12/26). Can't fault them a little time off.
Beyond that, I've had the same frustrations with e-mail support; but it's rare that I've ever needed it either. They have always fixed anything that I've e-mailed support about, they just haven't responded to tell me that.
I've strongly considered switching to 2CheckOut simply because of the layout of the payment pages (or, that you get to choose the layout of the payment pages), but am holding off to see the CE/PaySystems integration. Paysystems payment pages are simply the worst things I've ever seen.
Yeah, one of the things I like about 2checkout is that you can use your own headers and footers. But why do you need them if the server is down? The other thing is their email confirmation of purchased. It looks your company was the one who send it, not them.
Both 2CO and pasystems have their pro and con. ;)

I've been happy with them. They've been very responsive and fast. Also, I like the idea of being paid every week.
