Would it be possible for the ability to run clientexec (even a non-working copy) on a subdomain or the like for testing purposes?

I'd like to mess with templating and such but not willing to do so to our copy in production. How could one go about this?

You should be able to run a copy on subdomain or another folder. I have a test install in a seperate folder. eg. www.mydomain.com/testinstall

As rmount said you can run an additional installation in another folder for testing purposes.
